Bitesize Training - Mentalization

In addition to our regular training, we are delighted to now introduce a series of 1-hour Bitesize training sessions to learn about key topics relating to families and substance use. These sessions are perfect for those who are interested to improve their knowledge understanding around families, drugs and alcohol, but unable to commit to a full-day.

Learning outcomes:

  • Define mentalization and its importance in self-regulation
  • Describe how a mentalization deficit may contribute to harm to children in families where one or more carers has an addiction
  • Discuss techniques for helping parents to mentalize themselves their children

This bitesize training takes places over Zoom, participants must be able to access Zoom to take part. Colleagues that register will be sent the Zoom link a week before the start of the training.
