By British Laryngological Association

Overview

Overview

This course will be an introduction to the voice clinic.

The morning will be lectures with examples the types of patients that are seen and how they are treated from two of the country’s leading voice clinics. The lectures are given by the joint voice team of surgeon and speech therapist and will cover both surgical and therapeutic treatments available for common voice conditions.

The course will introduce those who have not done any endoscopy to the procedure, and show those who have more advanced techniques and protocols for specific patient groups.

The afternoon will be different sessions dependent on the experience level of the delegate; either learning to do your first endoscopy, learning advanced techniques to get better views of the larynx, or discussing difficult cases and specific voice patients such as singers.

This course is directed at those working in laryngology with an interest in the assessment and management of voice disorders.
