Description

Black History Month Event - Black Agency and Resistance in American History: Case Study of Warfare by Dr Mark Ellis

The labour and sacrifice of African Americans was crucial in the establishment and growth of the United States, and the long African American civil rights movement. By using case studies from slavery, war, medicine, and presidential politics, we will explore the agency of African Americans and their strategies of resistance and invite international comparisons.
