Description

This event is just for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic members of Opening Doors London - if you are not a member but are a Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic person who is LGBT+ and over 50 you can still attend.

Join our sessional worker Rachael this month to watch a free film screening of the Jewel's Catch One with light refreshments.

Jewel's Catch one is the story of famed L.A. nightclub Catch One and owner Jewel Thais-Williams, who defied all odds and provided a safe space for black LGBT communities. It is a complex historical record of a once-in-a-lifetime nightclub. It's a document of a physical space as well as a portrait of its stalwart and generous owner. It also captures a time when L.A. society roiled with changes around race, sexuality and music.

The event is on the ground floor via the front entrance. The ground floor has same-level access to all areas. The event has on -site parking which you will need to book for.
