About this Event

Darren Laville - Darren has been working with children and Families in various roles for the last 18 years. The bulk of Darren’s experience is in residential care, mentoring, parenting and youth work.

In March 2016 he personally felt the impact serious youth violence when he lost his own son. Then 6 months later when he lost a young man he cared for to county lines.

He found himself in a unique position where he and his family needed support.

In 2018 The Epiphany People was started to support families impacted by serious youth violence and Child Criminal Exploitation.

The Epiphany People place families at the heart of the work we do. As we know the real impact and struggles that families go through.

Our values are deeply rooted in victim led, trauma and victim informed practice.

We strive to be the voice of the victims and support families in their time of need.

Darren completed a Level 3 in Youth Violence and Gangs, this was taught by leading criminologist Craig Pinkney and his a MA Youth and Community Development .

Our services have been created using our very own (PALE) model of Professional Academic and Lived Experience.
