Welcoming BB bookish babes old and new, this month’s pick promises to spark a rich and heartfelt conversation.

This month we’re reading Black Ballad’s very own Jendella Benson. Her latest novel takes us into the lives of Mimi, a young single mum trying to carve out her own identity, and Abi, a teenager chasing dreams she sees online. Their worlds couldn’t seem more different, but one relentless summer sets them on a collision course that might just change everything.

All That We’ve Got is a powerful, tender, and sometimes unsettling exploration of community, survival, and the bonds we forge when life pushes us to the edge. It’s about the city beyond the headlines, the choices we make to protect ourselves, and the unexpected connections that can save us.
