We will be premiering artist Hillarynx’s new music video The 3rd, directed by Lauren Gee. In response to the film, Hillarynx has invited Claudia Wilson from Pure Vinyl Records and artist/producer Maniko to perform a special sonic reflection, fusing live piano with vinyl.

The screening will be followed by a conversation chaired by Lauren Gee will bring together Hillarynx, Maniko, NuAloe and Claudia Wilson and further live performances.

Black British Hood Feminism focuses on how we can make softer spaces, without reinforcing the perils of Babylon - the structures of colonial power and legacies of slavery. At a time when creating art, both politically and financially, is increasingly precarious, Black British Hood Feminism is beginning to explore what is a foundation for building safe, empowering creative communities.

Guests are invited to stay at the end of the event to connect and continue the conversation.

Curated by producer and director Lauren Gee.Please note the South London Gallery's Terms & Conditions before purchasing a ticket.
