An Introduction to Health & Social Care

We’ve partnered with health and social care organisations in the Black Country to showcase the exciting opportunities within this sector. This session will highlight the variety of health and social care job roles available and the routes to get into the industry.

Choosing Care as a Career

This session looks at the variety of career paths open to people who would like to work in health and social care. We look at both clinical and non-clinical roles as well as the support roles that help the sector run smoothly. Workers within the sector discuss why they wanted to follow a health and social care career pathway, the skills needed to be successful and the various entry routes open to young people.

What is Childcare?

An overview of careers in childcare and the routes available into the profession.The session will look at what you can expect in the job roles, qualifications needed and career progression.There will also be a Live virtual tour of Berrington Lodge Nursery

What is a Career in Dentistry

This session looks at the variety of career paths open to people who would like to work in Dentistry. From being a Dentist to a Dental Nurse and from working as a Dental Therapist to a Dental Technician. We look at both clinical and non-clinical as well as the support roles that help the sector run smoothly. Workers within the sector discuss why they decided to follow their career pathway, the skills needed to be successful and the various entry routes open to young people.

Challenging Stereotypes in NHS Careers

In this session we will explore different roles within the Wolverhampton NHS trust. Can you guess from first impressions what job role the speakers do? Pupils will have the chance to ask questions to employees of the NHS in a live Q&A
