At 886 m (2,907 ft), Pen-y-Fan is the highest point in South Wales, sitting proudly in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The summit offers sweeping 360-degree views of rolling green hills, glacial valleys and (on a clear day) all the way to the Bristol Channel.


Duration: 4-5 hours.

Terrain: Mainly good terrain, but some steep and muddy paths.

It is strongly advised to wear the following: - Waterproofs, layers, boots with good ankle support that you would not mind getting dirty (in case of muddy paths).

Lunch stop: Please bring a packed lunch and snacks. We will be having a scenic lunch on the mountain.

Toilets: Toilets are available at the start and end of the walk.

Parking: Paid for parking is available - £7.50 for the day.

Transport: There is access to the start point by bus.

Important notes:

- Hike is suitable for ages 18+

- No pets allowed on this walk

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and non-binary people of Black African and/or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC,WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.
