Event description
RSPB Scotland, the John Muir Trust and the Highland Perthshire Communities Land Trust (HPCLT) are leading a dawn walk to see Black grouse.

About this Event

Come along to be in with a chance of seeing some of Perthshire's resident Black grouse displaying, known as lekking. It will also give you the chance to find out more about these amazing birds.

To get to the viewing area there is a walk (roughly 400m) along a rough path. Once there we will set up telescopes so that you get the best views of these impressive birds strutting their stuff at the Dun Coillich lek against the stunning backdrop of Schiehallion.

This event is free but we suggest a donation of £5 per adult and children are free.

Meeting point: Braes of Foss car park for a 5:00am start. Please note there is a £2 charge to park here (not included in ticket price), for details on how to get to the meeting point please visit the Forestry Commission website.

There is also the possibility of lifts being available from Dunkeld or Pitlochry, further information will be emailed out via your confirmation email.
