Event description
On the 5th of October Portsmouth will celebrate an afternoon of African and Caribbean food, music, fashion, culture and art.

About this Event

The African-Caribbean Fusion Festival, which will be held at the University of Portsmouth Eldon Building from 12:00-5:00pm, is being organised by the Portsmouth Black History Committee to celebrate the heritage, culture and diversity of the local African-Caribbean community.

The event will also include performances by local artists, a fashion show featuring African dance and designs, information stalls and a pop-up market with a range of African and Caribbean art, accessories and prints. It will also aim to settle the #jollofwars as local cooks represent their countries of origin and battle it out for the accolade of the best cook of this iconic West African rice dish.
