In celebration of Black History Month, AFBE-UK proudly presents a special edition of our Leadership Talk Series with Jeremy Crook OBE, a pioneering advocate for racial equity and the long-serving CEO of Action for Race Equality (ARE).

Jeremy Crook has over 35 years’ experience of promoting diversity and inclusion and developing practical solutions in the public, private and civil society sector.

His current roles include: Metropolitan Police Service External Advisory Board (Chaired by the Commissioner); GLA Violence Reduction Unit Partnership Reference Group (Chaired by Mayor of London); West Ham United Foundation (Trustee); HMPPS External Advice and Scrutiny Panel (Chair); EQUAL National Independent Advisory Group (Vice Chair) and Thames Water’s Customer Challenge Group.

In this exclusive session titled “Standing Firm in Pride and Power”, Jeremy will reflect on:

  • The lessons from his leadership journey and the evolution of race equality in the UK.
  • What it means to lead with pride in identity and resilience in advocacy.
  • How to remain anchored in purpose while navigating the complexities of racial equality in today’s world.

This conversation is not only a tribute to Black excellence and perseverance, it's a call to action for current and emerging leaders to be courageous change-makers.

Whether you are a student, professional, entrepreneur, or community leader, this session will leave you inspired to take up space, lead boldly, and build a more equitable future.
