Event Information
About this Event
Please join us for a Family Event celebrating Black History Month.
You will read a short story from a local person about an experience they had around their heritage and then discuss with your children how that story made them feel. Are they happy how the story ended? Did they feel saddened or even angry? What changes would they like to see?
After a short brainstorming session around the story we invite you and the children to produce a small piece of art: a drawing, a short story, a poem....
We will display your work in the garden as part of a larger installation.
Please note that a photographer and a videographer will be onside as this event will feed into our final Black History Month project to be screened in November.
You can also take part in our Papertronics workshop.
Please not that each ticket booking will be for your entire family. We can only accept bookings by family units.
We will adhere strictly to social distancing, hand sanitisers are available throughout the garden. Please wear a mask when in the centre itself.
