Paddington Children's library invites you to a family-friendly celebration of Black History Month!

Join us for a documentary film screening "Flying for Britain" and an engaging workshop led by the talented author and filmmaker Amanda Epe. Flying for Britain is a drama-documentary that follows pilot Johnny Smythe from Sierra Leone, to recruitment into the wartime RAF and his experiences of combat flying as the navigator of a Stirling Bomber.

Following this, there will be a presentation by Eddy Smythe, the son of the film's featured subject. BBC One program The Repair Show featured Eddy in their VE Day episode.
