The theme for this year’s Black History Month is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” a powerful tribute to the resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines the Black community in the UK and across the globe. Black History Month will highlight the contribution made by Black people be they leaders, activists, or pioneers who have shaped history, while also looking towards a future of continued empowerment, unity, and growth. Florence Eshalomi is one such leader and pioneer and we are privileged to have her joining us.
During this session, Florence will share her journey into political activism; her experiences and insights on being a black woman MP in Parliament; her take on the Government’s priorities; and how to encourage people from diverse backgrounds to stand for public office.
This is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about representation, leadership, and the steps we can take to create a more inclusive political landscape.
