We're inviting the Afrikan diaspora community of Lewisham, aged 50 yrs+ to discuss health- awareness, detection, treatment and ongoing support across cardiovascular disease (CVD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) and explore ways in which each of these steps could be improved for you. Including exploring how we bring traditional healing herbs & alternative therapies into the medical arena and potentially grow some at our Ital Community Gardens to increase access.
We are exclusively working with our local GP , funded through Lewisham Public Health to make sure that first, your voices are heard and where we, the community, co- design culturally appropriate activities for health improvements and action steps for community screening outreach.
We are a grassroots, Afrikan- diaspora led community food growing project in Lewisham and we will cook a hot, organic, locally grown meal on site to welcome you. Community gardening is also available for you to enjoy throughout the day.
