Join us for our Black History Month Workshop Series at Republic London: African Legacies Walk with artist and creative learning practitioner Remiiya Badru.
This guided walk follows East London’s waterways to uncover stories of migration, resilience and presence woven through Docklands history.
Rooted in her multi-sensory walking practice, Remiiya invites us to reconnect with liquid histories, where memory, re-memory and healing flow between past, present and future.
What you’ll do:
• Walk & listen: Trace riverside routes and sites linked to African and Caribbean histories
• Sense & reflect: Engage sight, sound and story to reframe familiar streets
• Connect: Reclaim space together and consider wellness, memory and belonging
