Join Start Up Greenwich for an engaging panel discussion, featuring Folake and Julien, two inspiring Black entrepreneurs, as part of our Black History Month celebrations.

This event will shine a spotlight on the journeys, challenges, and achievements of local Black business owners. Through open and honest conversation, our panelists will share their lived experiences and the insights they've gained from building and growing their businesses. There will also be opportunities to network with likeminded individuals, local business owners, and business support organisations, all in a welcoming environment.

Be part of a meaningful celebration of Black excellence in entrepreneurship, and gain valuable perspectives on resilience, innovation, and leadership.

Catering will be provided on the day.


This event is delivered by Start Up Greenwich – a business support service designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups and established businesses to build their entrepreneurial skills and confidence, as well as giving them access to business information and resources. We offer our members a variety of expert-led workshops, 1-2-1's with a business manager, access to business resources, opportunities to trade and test business ideas, co-working and office space, networking events and much more.

Julien Brunoir is an experienced Educational and Skills Coach, Co-Headteacher, and entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of service dedicated to improving educational standards and creating inclusive learning environments. Originally from Martinique, he has built a career in London supporting schools, organisations, and communities to build resilience, strengthen well-being, and unlock potential.

Julien has delivered numerous workshops and talks that inspire individuals to grow ideas and turn challenges into opportunities. He has recently been nominated for two national awards recognising his contributions to education and community impact. His mission is clear: to enhance, elevate, and empower future generations.


Folake Ogundele is a Chartered Management Accountant and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience, spanning the private sector, public sector, and charitable organisations. Throughout her career, Folake have provided strategic financial leadership, driving efficiency, compliance, and growth across diverse industries.

In addition to her professional practice, she is an active property investor, combining financial expertise with a strong interest in building sustainable value through real estate.
