About this event

Business • Career

Silence is not the absence of power.

Black Introvert Week UK and event sponsor Kubrick Group invite you to a gathering unlike any other. A night dedicated to reclaiming the quiet, rewriting the rules, and redefining what leadership looks and sounds like for Black introverts in today’s world.

In a society that often equates loudness with strength, this panel event holds space for the reflective, the thoughtful, and the quietly impactful. We’re spotlighting voices that have long been present, however rarely heard, with lived experience at the heart of every insight.

Our theme, Unmuted, speaks to a rising movement: one where Black introverts lead not by changing who they are, but by deepening into who they’ve always been.

Join us for an intimate evening of storytelling, strategy and soul-led conversation led by changemakers who have found power in their pause.

Our speakers

Dr. Maame Afua Nikabs Communication strategist, author, and speaker

As a Black introvert with a PhD in linguistics, Maame knows what it means to be unheard in rooms not built for her voice. Her book Speak Up, Speak Out is a guide to navigating hard conversations without compromising who you are. She equips leaders and learners alike to advocate for themselves not through volume, but through truth.

Beatrice Ngalula Kabutakapua CEO, The Business Storytelling Centre | Author, “Lead With Your Story”

A former journalist and documentary maker, Beatrice helps leaders connect through storytelling. Her work spans three continents, three languages, and over 10,000 individuals—and she does it all while centring the power of quiet impact.

Amira Williams Strategic communicator & Chair, Taylor Bennett Foundation Alumni Board

Navigating the B2B tech world as a quiet leader, Amira brings a thoughtful, intentional approach to everything from storytelling to inclusion. Her advocacy work uplifts emerging diverse talent, particularly Uni graduates and apprentices, and her voice is a testament to the value of slow-burn influence.

Grant Harris Founder, GTH Consulting | Neurodiversity & DEI Expert

Autistic, proudly introverted, and data-led, Grant has helped Fortune-level firms, U.S. government teams and nonprofits make neuroinclusion real. His approach, rooted in behavioural science and strategic storytelling, delivers measurable impact without performative noise.
