Description

In anticipation of Eclipse Theatre Company’s new play Black Men Walking arriving at the Royal Court Theatre, we would like to invite you to an Eclipse Ambassador Evening.

“We walk. Though we are written into the landscape you don’t see us. We walked England before the English.”

Eclipse’s brand new production, Black Men Walking, will be arriving at the Royal Court Theatre on 21st March – 7th April 2018. This innovative new play is the first national tour born from Revolution Mix - a three year movement that will spearhead the largest ever national delivery of Black British stories. Inspired by a real-life Black men’s walking group in Sheffield, it features live music and beat boxing and weaves stories of Black British history through the dangerous journey of three men out in the Peak District.

Eclipse’s Artistic Director and director of the show Dawn Walton, along with award-winning beatboxer Testament, writer and musical director of Black Men Walking, will share insight into this new play - and a unique ticket opportunity. Join us for drinks, great conversation, and a DJ set to cap off the night.

Ahead of the Ambassador Evening, we’re running a workshop for Black Men exploring barriers to meaningful interaction and connection with Chama Kay. Find out more about this brilliant free workshop here.
