Event description
To welcome Black Men Walking to Perth Theatre, join us for a walk and workshop exploring origins, journeys and being with nature.

About this Event

Join us on Saturday morning for a gentle walk along Perth's North Inch Route. This will be a creative experience and workshop to understand how we examine our origins, journeys and interpret our stories through the habit of walking and being (re)acquainted with nature.

In the spirit of the original Black Men Walking group, we will also explore stories of Black British experiences and histories of people of colour in Perth. People of colour/BAME people are encouraged to come and share your stories to add to this history.

The workshop will be led by two artists/facilitators of colour, Alaya Ang and Martha Adonai Dahomey.

This is a family-friendly event and everyone is welcomed. Refreshments will be provided.

We will meet at 11am at Perth Theatre box office (Mill Street entrance), returning to the theatre for refreshments.

Participants of this workshop will be able to receive discounted tickets for any of the Black Men Walking shows running from 25th-28th September 2019 at Perth Theatre.

Accessibility

Perth Theatre is a disability friendly venue. For more information please see their website.

The walk is a level circular route of approximately 1.5 miles (2.4km) around Perth's North Inch, with excellent views of the River Tay. Toilets with disabled access and baby change facilities can be found en route at Bells Sport Centre.
