Description

Black nurses trained and worked in Britain well before registration began. Stephen Bourne gives an illustrated talk about the lives of some of these women from the 1880s to the 1940s including Annie Brewster, Eva Lowe and Princess Ademola.

Accessibility

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. There is a hearing loop in the lecture room. We can offer large print copies of presentations if requested at least a week before the event. Assistance dogs are welcome.
