The Randolph Hotel in partnership with Black Oxford Untold Stories is thrilled to announce our first Afternoon Tea and Talk with award-winning author and historian Pamela Roberts.

Pamela is the Founder and Director of Black Oxford: Untold Stories, created to educate and celebrate the contributions and legacies of Oxford University's Black scholars from the turn of the 20th century to the present day.

Our first Afternoon Tea and Talk will celebrate the legacy in Oxford and beyond of Alain Locke, the first Black Rhodes Scholar, philosopher, and intellectual architect of the Harlem Renaissance.

Hear about Locke's legacy over The Randolph Hotel's afternoon tea in the surrounds of our grand Ballroom. After savouring your afternoon tea and talk, prepare to be transported to the golden age of jazz as the Oxford Lindy Hoppers take the floor. The Oxford Lindy Hoppers will gently guide you through some of the era’s most iconic steps, inviting you to move, laugh, and immerse yourself in the style and rhythm of the period.
