Black PhD & Masters Scholars- Networking and Study Skills
Overview
Are you a Black PhD/Masters Student/Early Career Researcher/Academic or just interested in research?
If yes, you are welcome to join us for our Friday bi-monthly meet up sessions between 7 pm and 8 pm GMT.
There will be opportunities to network with other PhD students and listen to guest speakers who have walked your journey.
We will discuss:
- Thesis topics and ideas
- Explore research methods
- Supervisor relationships
- Research methods and approaches
- Writing journal articles
These sessions are a general catch up regarding how things are going. There is so much that we can learn from each other.

About the Host: Dr Judith Bruce-Golding graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2018. She is Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Southampton and is a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. Judith is also is a Mental Health and Suicide First Aid Trainer which has involved international work. Her research interests include creative participatory approaches, special educational needs, neurodiversity, elder's voices and community research where she has designed and facilitated co-participatory community projects.
