Black Statues Walk Around Westminster
Wed 12 October 2016, 11:00 – 13:00 BST
Come and walk around Westminster to see the different statues and monuments that represent Black Londoners. You will hear about the history of the statues and how they came to be there. Learn about what you don't already know! Bring your cameras.
Nelson Mandela is one of the most famous people in the world. Everyone has heard of him, but do you know where his statue is? Do you know why the statue is at a lower level than the other statues that surround him? Did you know he has more than one statue in London? Where are the others?
Where will you find the monument above, and what does it represent? Come along and find out.
