Event description

Description

“He actually said to me, ‘What are you doing here? This is for Members only’,” she wrote. “He then proceeded to ask me, 'Are you a member?' And I said, ‘Yes I am, are you?‘ And he turned around and said to his colleague, ‘They’re letting anybody in nowadays.’ - Dawn Bulter (one of three black women MP)

Trump, May, Obama, Cameron are presidents, prime ministers former and current. Do they represent our views? Should we care? Let's talk about something that we often ignore?

1. Do we need to know the intricacies of politics to have an opinion? Does our opinion matter if we are not leading the conversation?

2. Is Trump really that bad? How does that affect us in the UK as Black Women?

3. Is there a place for black women in politics and what stops us from really moving forward?

A talk on politics with a discussion as always via Black Women who want their voice to be heard

Meeting will be held at the Lost Hour Pub as an alternate option depending on the weather

Call 0844 802 6564 as we may have to move from the venue due to noise

I have contacted MP Dawn Butler, MP Diane Abbott, MP Chi Onwrah and Councillor Brenda Dacres to come and join the conversation. Unfortnately they have prior engagements and can't attend.
