Blackdam & Crabtree Conservation Volunteer Work Party

In this session we will potentially be completeing two different tasks and rotating half way through. This will depend on the number of volunteers we have attending, so please do use the eventbrite link if you plan on attending.

Task 1 - Stream near platform. We will be removing willow and other scrub along the banks and also venturing into the stream to clear channel through the floating vegetation. Removing any waste from the stream and surrounding area. We may also want to remove some of the reeds that are starting to encroach on the streams width.

Task 2 - Removal of scrub on a second bank to improve harvest mouse habitat and reed growth.

Meet at 10am in the Blackdam Pond carpark.

Please bring a drink and snack and wear clothing appropriate to the task and weather (wellington boots are recommended).
