Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Frontline Network Annual Conference

About this Event

Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Frontline Network are pleased to invite you to our second (FREE) Annual Conference with a specific focus on...

Health, Homelessness and Humanity

Who is this Conference for?

All frontline workers who work alongside people experiencing homelessness or who are vulnerably housed.

What will the day include?

• Where are we now? The local context of housing and homelessness - Blackpool Council Housing Options

• Substance misuse/sexual health service provision, our issues and how we are seeking to address these – Melanie Kelly: Renaissance

• 45 Degree Change. How to create a ‘good society’ and The Place We Want – Neal Lawson: Rethinking Poverty/Compass

• Sharing Learning and best practice: A presentation on hoarding by Adult Social Care.

• Bridging the gaps and improving lives: Solution focused workshops with the resources we have available.

• When Love is the Cause…Love is the Cure – Jacqui Lane: Speaker, Trainer, Coach

This session will look at why people do what they do. Why some connect, some collaborate and some stay in perpetual cycles of conflict...with themselves, others and the world around them. We will explore human thinking through the lens of one model which will transform the way that we perceive the solutions to the challenges of vulnerable and complex clients. Thus gaining insight into rich layers of the human condition.

Understanding and Responding to Complex Trauma - David Gill: Risk and Resilience

This talk is designed to help frontline workers understand how complex trauma impacts on clients behaviours and engagement with professionals. The workshop will empower frontline workers to look beyond behaviours to help create safe, validating and therapeutic relationships using effective and evidence based tools.

• Networking, opportunities for discussions and more…
