Blackwell's presents IRIS III with the Hurst Street Press
Tue 21 February 2017, 19:00 – 21:00 GMT
Blackwell's is delighted to present an evening of readings with Lili Hamlyn, Harry Long, Dominic Leonard, Ryan Bradley and Joe Dodd to celebrate the third issue of IRIS.
IRIS is a collaboration of original art and literature, published by Hurst Street Press. Printed from our studio using letterpresses and risographs, the magazine aims to combine traditional techniques of book production with contemporary and innovative work. IRIS aims to encourage encounter between contributions: whether fictional or critical, visual or prose, we aim for the pieces to conspire with, and complement, one other. A three-part book, each edition of IRIS explores the broad theme 'sense of place', and is limited to a single print run. Each copy is hand-stitched, and comes with an individually marbled band.
We are now preparing for the third and final edition of IRIS, and to celebrate the culmination of the project, we will be holding readings from past editions at Blackwells' Bookshop on February 21st, 2017. We will also be revealing some exclusive tasters from the upcoming third edition.
