The day concludes at Bognor Regis School of Music in the recital hall, featuring the incandescent, the surreal and innocent whimsy of highly acclaimed beat poet and musician Michael Horovitz. Featuring Vanessa Vie (poet) Jazz Musicians Annie Whitehead &  Peter Lemer : the William Blake Klezmatrix Band.   Michael and Vanessa performed William Blakes words in the Royal Albert Hall and the Victoria and Albert Museum last year.

Daylight preludes....

A smorgasbord of artistic excitations and poetic evocations begins at Bognor Regis Library with an audio visual installation by Mikey Georgeson, featured in 1883 Magazine.  ’The Non-bifurcated Man’  includes an improvised soundtrack with contributions from Nathan Thomas, Andy Barrett and The Professor. It’s a transposition of an actual event into a real occasion. People have responded very well to it.  It has trance-like qualities mixed in with the physical memory triggers of traveling in a car seen here https://vimeo.com/223342111

Community word worship is explored via a poetry workshop with acclaimed Portsmouth poet Stella Bahin.  Stella will be using the BlakeFestival as her creative space to create a unique poem with the community, infused with the ideas, sounds and visuals show-cased in this years Blake Fest.

Experience 'Poetopography' on a guided walk exploring Blakes connection to the local land 'Beulah' with pscho-geographer Niall Mcdevitt (author of two de-gentrifying poetry collections ever trying to decode the London/Jerusalem conundrum).

The walk winds its way into a time with the inimitable poet Stephen Micalef author of "The Punk Kings of Dsylexia" As a teenager in 1976-77, Stephen Micalef (AKA Steve Mick) wrote for the pioneering punk fanzine Sniffin' Glue, started by his Deptford schoolmate Mark Perry. He reviewed many early punk gigs in London, including the seminal 100 Club Punk Fest. He also interviewed The Damned, The Buzzcocks, The Subway Sect, The Jam and edited Issue 9. On leaving he founded the Brixton Poets, which he ran between 1986-97. He performed his poetry as a duo with artist Piers Wardle on keyboards, and collaborated with Piers in numerous art shows
