Blakemere Gundog Scurry and Dog Show - Have a go funday!
After the success of our first event we are ready for round two!
Come join us fun-filled time at Blakemere
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, our gundog scurry is a blast for all. Test your skills, meet fellow dog lovers, and enjoy a day out in the beautiful surroundings of Blakemere.
Come and have a go at each of the four scurries;
The long retrieve
The bales
The 2 dummy retrieval - 1 x seen, 1 x blind
The water retrieve
We will have a DAILY CHALLENGE that can be entered on the day, this one will be a little trickier with retrieves at distance and over water, combine in 2 scurries. Perfect to have a go and finish the day off with.
ALL dog breeds welcome they do not need to be a Gundog but a love of fetch or retrieving will be useful!This event is open to the complete beginners who want to come and have a go at Gundog scurries, those who have started their gundog training journey, and the more experienced who want to test theirs and their dogs skills!
Each ticket bought enters one dog into the four scurries, your scurry time will be accumulated and prizes will be awarded for the fastest 3 overall times
We will be running additional individual competitions with prizes to 3rd place for the fastest times in each scurry. These can be entered on the day by purchasing tokens- feel free to enter as many times as you would like.
If we can get enough juniors entering we would love to run a junior section also and get the youngsters to have a go too!
The Fun dog show will be take place at midday - please see the photo below for a list of classes
This event will take place on private enclosed land on the Cheshire/ Shropshire border making it a great central location.
