The Blessington Millennium choir was founded to celebrate the Christian Millennium Year 2000 in Blessington, a rural town in County Wicklow, in the heart of The Garden of Ireland. Celebrate St Patrick's Day with the perfect accompaniment.

The Children of Lir, an Irish fairytale Cantata, by world renowned composer, Patrick Cassidy, who will be present at the concert. Patrick is a film score composer living in Los Angeles. Scored music for, among many others, the film Hannibal with Vide Cor Meum as central tune. This theme tune has been developed by him into a new Opera about the life of Dante to be released in Florence later this year.(2017)
Charles Pearson, internationally acclaimed organist, will accompany the piece on the recently restored pipe organ of the Moot Hall.
Celebrate St Patrick's Day in style with lots of favourite Irish melodies, and an original cantata in the form of The Children of Lir, and at the same time raise money for the Mayor's Charities.....
