This session takes students through the process of submitting an ethics application including completing the ethics checklist


S3 Ethics, Philosophy, Politics and Fieldwork Practicality - Professor Shane Blackman - Tuesday 14th November, 11am-12.30pm

Navigating ethical challenges during PhD research is a key skill. I shall be looking at theoretical and practical ethical matters including covert and overt research approaches, issues of informed consent both oral and written consent, different types of disclosure and what is the responsibility of the researcher when researching vulnerable individuals or groups and how to make Ethics Committees work for you!
