Block Printing: Make Your Own Lampshade

This is a full day workshop where you’ll be getting your hands stuck into creating and printing your own unique lampshade lead by printer and maker Aidan Liggins. You’ll learn the basics of block printing onto fabric from composition, carving and printing techniques.

You will then go on to make your own lampshade out of your hand printed fabric, creating a unique handmade piece for your home.

No previous experience needed. You may bring ideas, images or objects to work with or just be inspired by our range of examples on the day. There is also scope to trace images, rather than hand drawing.

This workshop is a perfect "You + Me" experience! Young adults aged 12 and above are welcome to join when accompanied by a paying adult.

Within a two-week period, under no circumstances can we transfer you onto another event. We have incurred material costs & committed numbers to the tutor.
