Event description
Come and find your potential team for the Block-Sprint, the two week Hackathon organised by the UCL CBT, Capital Enterprise, and Ripple.

About this Event

The event aims to help you construct an idea and find a team: Those with an idea will have 30 seconds at the start of the evening to stand up and introduce themselves and their pitch to the room, after which you will have the chance to match up with those whose ideas most appeal to you.

If you already have an idea but aren't ready to apply for the hackathon yet, simply send your idea to laurel@capitalenterprise.org and we'll make sure you have a chance to pitch. We will help you finalise it and find teammates.

Block-Sprint is a hackathon run over multiple events over two weeks, fostering rapid innovation in the payments and decentralised finance spaces utilising blockchain and AI. Run by the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies in partnership with Ripple and supported by Capital Enterprise, join us to build, create and innovate!

About the Information Evening

Come and learn what Block-Sprint is all about a month before the actual event over pizza and beer. Learn about the use cases and pain points in the payments and decentralised finance areas, and how you’ll get support in solving them; hear about the infrastructure and data you’ll be supplied with; and meet other like-minded individuals to form a team!

Applications to join must be made up of multiple individuals of at least four people from at least two different groups (i.e. individuals from more than one company, or one company plus students etc).

About Block-Sprint

The UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies are running the blockchain technology hackathon of the year this November, in partnership with Ripple and supported by Capital Enterprise. Join us at multiple events from the 11th – 22nd November to help accelerate innovation in the areas of Payments and Decentralised Finance utilising DLT and AI, supported by experts in these domains.

Who is Block-Sprint aimed at?

The hackathon is aimed at companies using blockchain technologies and AI with an interest in payments and decentralised finance; blockchain developers; data scientists; and students.

Block-Sprint Use Cases & Technologies

Block-Sprint is focused on promoting innovation in the payments and decentralised finance domains. See our website or come to the information evening to learn more about the different use cases and pain points you’ll get support with throughout the hackathon, both with infrastructure and from domain experts.

Applying to be part of Block-Sprint

Come along to the Application Evening to join a team or pitch your idea; Or, if you're all set already, apply here. All teams must be composed of at least 4 people from at least two groups of stakeholders (e.g. individuals from more than one company; individuals from one company plus students; students from different institutions; In short, you cannot all be from the same organisation!).

Why take part?

This is a great opportunity to come up with new ideas in the payments and decentralised finance spaces. You’ll be supported by domain experts who will be helping you refine your ideas and developers who’ll help you build out a prototype solution.
