Event description
How will blockchain and fintech revolutionize finance? A half-day conference focusing on infrastructure (e.g. custody)of digital assets.

About this Event

Blockchain is no longer an unknown technology and many consider it to be as groundbreaking as the internet itself. While there is no doubt about the capabilities of blockchain technology, there has always been the question on how blockchain can bring about structural changes and find mainstream adoption particularly within the financial ecosystem.

Most traditional banks and leading financial institutions until now considered stocks, derivatives, bonds, commodities etc. as leading forms of assets and secured them either in physical or digital form. However, ever since crypto assets proliferated in various forms such as stable coins, security token platforms and various other tokenized assets, financial institutions have been looking at how to institutionalize these digital assets. That has subsequently led to a seismic shift in the way traditional financial institutions perceive digital assets, blockchain and DLT. The problem associated therewith was however, how can an investor secure these assets safely.

With companies offering infrastructure for blockchain and DLT, it seems that question might finally have been answered. Financial institutions now have an array of solutions at their disposal which allows them to handle, secure, trade, audit digital assets in a safe, secure, trusted, regulated way.

Through this conference, we aim to create a discussion on the following topics:

  • Institutionalization of digital assets, including crypto assets
  • Recent developments in custodial services
  • How scalable and secure is blockchain and DLT
  • Regulation roadmap for blockchain infrastructure providers over the next 5 years, e.g. custody providers
  • Important players and financial institutions that are leading the way to adopting blockchain and DLT
  • Overview on other new fintech innovations that aim to streamline payment services and other aspects within the financial ecosystem

This conference is not only about addressing the fundamental and structural changes that is required within the global financial services but also looking very closely at how blockchain technology can help deliver them.

Through the participation of 6 hand-picked, seasoned companies from the blockchain and fintech sector, we are aiming to broaden the discussion as well as drive trust and accelerate the adoption of digital assets by institutional clients. We believe this could lead to a truly open global financial system as envisioned by blockchain and lead to greater innovation, and efficiency within the global financial system.
