In a world where blockchain technology is the source of wide-spread disruption across a range of industries, Women in Mining, in conjunction with Fladgate LLP are delighted to be hosting a panel event to explore the uptake of blockchain and other technologies in the mining industry.

From contract management and provenance to more futuristic and far-ranging uses, there are clear advantages and exciting opportunities for the sector from adopting new technology to drive both efficiency and productivity. Our expert panellists will share their experience of specific uses and applications of technology in the mining sector and we will discuss the significant challenges standing in the way of the benefits digital solutions promise.

Join us to discuss and debate blockchain-driven disruption across the mining industry. Following the speaking session there will be an opportunity for Q&A with the panel, followed by drinks, kindly sponsored by Fladgate.

Organiser Women in Mining UK

Organiser of Blockchain and Other Technologies in Natural Resources

Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) is a non-profit volunteer organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining industry, as well as raising awareness of the mining industry as a great career choice for women.  

WIM UK has ~2,000 members from across the globe, is operated by a 40-strong volunteer base, and has a wide network of affiliations with other international women-in-mining organisations. 

Alongside promoting the business case for gender diversity, WIM UK holds regular networking and education events, has a strong international network, provides members with visibility on the global conference circuit,  to showcase the breadth and depth of female professional talent through our initiative #WIMvoice, offers professional development opportunities, such as mentoring, internships and scholarships and celebrates female success stories via our “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” publication.
