More About The Hosts & Venue

Gloucestershire Science & Technology Park (GSTP)

GSTP is Gloucestershire's Science & Technology Park, it is a strategic economic asset for Gloucestershire. Publicly owned with all rent and investments focused on improving the training of young people and enhancing the Gloucestershire economy. We are located overlooking the Severn, close to the town of Berkeley, less than. 15 mins from J13 and J14 of the M5 via uncongested roads.

The unique nature of the park enables us to offer a range of buildings suitable for office, workshop, laboratory and mid tech space requirements.

We pride ourselves in providing space to do things which cant be accommodated elsewhere. To paraphrase the 35th POTUS - "We set sail because there is new knowledge to be gained. We choose to do these things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organise and measure the best of our energies and skills." - JFK

The Park community includes a range of complimentary occupiers including:

· SGS College

· Berkeley Green UTC

· Bloodhound LSR

· Bloodhound Education Ltd

· University of Gloucestershire

· Green Fuels Research

· Cavendish Nuclear- Babcock Group

· Coming soon - Gloucestershire Police training and tech centre

SGS Commercial Services

SGS Commercial Services Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of SGS College. Its primary purpose is to operate Gloucestershire Science & Technology Park. SGS CS manages the day to day operation of the park and works to recreate a community of science, technology, training and community occupiers which enriches the education of learners and adds value to the Gloucestershire economy.

Bloodhound LSR

The world land speed record contender, BLOODHOUND LSR, recently completed a hugely successful round of high speed tests in the Kalahari Desert, South Africa, where the car reached a top speed of 628mph. The car is now back at the team’s HQ, at SGS Berkley Green UTC, on the Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park. Global media interest, including a BBC Documentary which aired 15 times during December, generated unprecedented audience figures, an AVE figure of £50m and a potential ROI of 14:1 for sponsors and partners which, even for a test programme, benchmarks very highly against comparable events.

As part of the development programme for the 2021 record breaking campaign, the team is working on a zero emissions rocket that will provide the extra power needed to set a new world land speed record whilst emitting just water and oxygen.

Join the Bloodhound Team for a detailed briefing on the high speed test programme, to learn about the next steps for the project and exciting commercial opportunities available.
