The Blue Light Walk will get underway on Sunday 25 September 2016 when our friends at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust (YAS) host ‘The First Steps’.
‘The First Steps’ is a 22.5 mile walk that will start from the new RNLI Station in South Bay, Scarborough before proceeding through the town and out into the North Yorkshire countryside.
The walk heads West from Scarborough following the A170 before turning North at Hutton Buscel. The route continues North into Wykeham Forest, joining the Tabular Hills footpath.
The route then turns West into Dalby Forest where it leaves the Tabular Hills footpath and bears South West towards Ellerburn and Thornton le Dale.
The final stage of the walk sees the route re-join the A170 for the last few miles into Pickering where it will finish at Pickering Recreation Club adjacent to the town’s police and fire stations.
