Peak Skills: Intro to the Hills
Women-only hill skills social walk from YHA Edale
Date: Saturday 11th October 2025
Distance: 5 miles/8km
Elevation: 1080ft/330m
Duration: 5-6 hours
Led by: Peak Outdoor Coaching/Emily Taylor
This walk takes us from the doorstep of Edale YHA onto the Kinder plateau via The Nab and Ringing Roger; a beautiful route offering some amazing views from up above the Edale valley and is the perfect place to learn some valuable hill skills
Level of difficulty: Moderate: we will be moving at a slow and steady pace, but some of the terrain is rocky and uneven so some sure-footedness is required. There are also some hills to ascend and descend that are steep in places. We do have a couple of stiles along the way
*the exact route will depend on the weather conditions on the day. We may be forced to choose a lower-level route
