BME Insight Research – Unmet Health & Social Care Needs
Recognising Progress & Moving Forward
Wednesday 2nd November, 09.00 – 14.00
Resource Centre, Meath Street, Middlesbrough, TS1 4RY
In 2014 Middlesbrough Council Public Health and South Tees CCG commissioned insight research into the health and social care needs of Middlesbrough’s Gypsy and Irish Traveller, East European and Other BME populations. The purpose of the project was to identify barriers to service uptake and to identify the services needed and the settings where they should be delivered to increase uptake.
In addition, the Regional Refugee Forum NE has undertaken a project on tackling health inequalities through collaborative working with Refugee Community Organisations, with case studies from South Tees CCG area.
The purpose of this event is to find out more about the progress that has been made, review what has been achieved and plan for the future. Presentations will be delivered from a diverse range of frontline organisations and individuals who are delivering some fantastic projects and making real changes to people’s lives.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to find out what is happening, contribute your ideas and network as well as enjoy some entertainment and lunch.
A final programme for the event will follow.
