Board Game Night
Event Information
About this event
We are super excited to once again be opening our doors to the gamers of Cambridge for a board game night on 12th February, however we have had to change a few things to make the events as safe as possible.
By purchasing your ticket, you agree to follow our guidelines and we reserve the right to remove you from the event for failing to do so. As a result please read the below thoroughly before attending and if you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch.
New Covid-19 Health and Safety Information:
- We will be ticketing the event with an enforced capacity and cannot accept anyone turning up on the door without a ticket. We have had to raise the entry fee to £5 in order to deal with having less people through the door and escalating costs.
- Please do not attend the event if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have been advised to self isolate. We will offer a full refund in this eventuality.
- We ask that all ticket holders wear a face mask whilst moving about the shop. Please do not remove your mask at a table unless everyone at the table consents. Medical exemptions will continue to apply.
- Our staff are all double vaccinated with their booster and we will be taking lateral flow covid tests on the morning of the event. We would encourage your to also take lateral flow tests, if able, before the event.
- We will be cleaning all table surfaces at the start and end of the event.
- You are welcome to bring your own games but we will also be providing our usual games library for customer use. We are unable to clean the games between each use, however we will have sanitizer at all enquiry and till points for customer use.
- We ask all customers to be respectful of those around them and to keep all personal belongings under their tables to avoid blocking access ways.
- We will not be providing communal food and drinks but will allow ticket holders to bring in their own. Please dispose of any waste in the bin bags provided.
- Each ticket purchased must have the ticket holder's full name for track and trace purposes.
RPGs:
Any RPG ran during the event will have a separate, paid ticket option within the eventbrite listing. You do not need do pay for general admission in addition to this.
Membership:
We will not be selling any new membership cards at this time. However, as a goodwill gesture we will be extending all membership cards that were active at the start of March 2020 by 18 months. So if your expiry date was originally January 2021, for example, your new expiry date will be July 2022. However if your card expired February 2020 then it is no longer active.
Members will still need to register a ticket but can use the discount code "MEMBERSHIP" to waive the entry fee. Please look for the "promo code" option before the payment screen. We will need to check the membership card on the door so please have it ready to be checked and do not use the discount code if you do not have an active card or you may get turned away.
If you are not sure if your card was active or you need a replacement card, please get in touch with us on either games@heffers.co.uk or 01223 463225.
Refund/Ticket Information:
We are now operating board games nights with a maximum capacity set for everyone's safety. This is the reason we need to ticket the events beforehand and as a result it is important that we don't have people turn up on the night without a ticket.
We know the events sell out ahead of the night, which is why we are releasing the tickets on a set schedule. We have also set up a waitlist facility on eventbrite, so when spaces become available we can release tickets to those on the list on a first come, first serve basis. Once waitlist tickets have been released they have 24 hours to be claimed before being released to the next person on the list.
We will always honour a refund request, if given with 24 hours notice, as this gives us enough notice to release tickets on the waitlist. The only exception to this is for those who are sick and cannot attend, where we will extend the refund time limit right up to the start time of the event. Alas, if we are notificed after the event has finished, we are unable to process the refund.
Due to the capacity restrictions we ask for your flexibility with regards to group and table size and we may ask if you'd be willing to include solo players in your group.
