More than just a bird on a stick’ replaces Bob’s earlier lecture but reflects the theme
that Bob is probably the South East’s most used wildlife judge, so establishes some of
the desired ‘rules’ of good wildlife photography. As the title suggests Bob asks wildlife
photographers to step beyond the basic , and often maligned, bird on a stick, and urges
them to incorporate action, behaviour, movement or creativity into their wildlife images
to raise the standard, and marks, of good wildlife photography. Part One uses images
from four different UK locations, and Part Two, after the break, visits two different
African locations.
During the Covid Pandemic Bob replaced his SLR Canon system with an Olympus micro
4/3rds system and every image shown has been taken post-pandemic on Olympus, and
not previously seen, apart from in this presentation.
