About this event

This panel discussion is the second event in SGI-UK’s series of ‘Bodhisattva for the Earth’ webinars towards COP26, the most important international climate conference, which will be held in Glasgow in November 2021.

Following SGI-UK General Director, Robert Harrap’s talk on understanding the climate crisis from a Buddhist point of view, we have four speakers sharing examples of their climate action within the community.

Michele Lamb will be hosting Liz Lorente (Transition Town Marlow), Vieve Richardson (Marine naturalist/ wildlife photographer), Sharron Harrison (Gleaning/ community engagement) and Franco Zaffanella (Food production) in an inspiring discussion and Q&A.

Following this event, SGI-UK and the Centre for Applied Buddhism will continue organising a developing series of webinars until the COP26 Climate Change conference in November 2021 on similar subjects, so if you are interested in participating, or you would like to invite a friend, please register details on https://members.sgi-uk.org/webinars and we will send this information prior to the event.
