Join us for an exciting one-day workshop dedicated to the art of bodice and collar making! This hands-on experience will provide a basic bodice block, serving as your foundation for creativity. Throughout the day, you will embark on a step-by-step journey to demystify the process, ensuring that every learner grasps each technique confidently.
You will start by mastering the art of taking precise measurements—either of yourself or those of your fellow participants—setting the stage for your unique designs. Armed with your measurements, you will dive into the exhilarating world of bodice and collar adaptations, transforming the pre-made block into stunning, personalised creations. Get ready to unleash your creativity and discover the joy of making beautiful bodice and necklines that reflect your style!
You will learn the following:
· How to take body measurements.
· How to trace a basic bodice block accurately with all the markings.
· How to do waist darts, shoulder-bust darts, side-bust darts and princess seam.
· How to create necklines: round neck, V-neck, bateaux, box neck, sweetheart and plunge neckline.
· How to properly label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches.
