Event description

Description

The first in our ‘Body Series’: we will be hosting a panel event discussing lived experiences of fatphobia and body acceptance on Wednesday 11th September 2019.

Our wonderful group of panellists will be discussing what fatphobia is, how it’s manifested online & offline in society today including how it affects people’s access to and quality of healthcare.

They’ll also be discussing the topic of body acceptance versus body positivity.

Whether you experience fatphobia, you’re trying to understand your thin privilege or exploring your own path to body acceptance this event will be an open, honest and affirming conversation and we’d love you to join us.

This panel will be chaired by Kitty Underhill - we will be announcing the rest of the panel members in due course.

Tickets:

Tickets are £7.50 each.

We have a number of pay-as-you-can tickets for people on low incomes, to find out more please get in touch via info@sistersociety.co.uk

This event will be held in the Mercury Meeting Room on the first floor at My Hotel, Brighton.
