This workshop is a reclamation of your body, beliefs & authenticity.
As women, we've been conditioned to shrink, to stay small, to ignore the wisdom of our bodies.
But your body was never the problem!
It's the compass and pathway back to your joy, your confidence, your intuition.
Body Wizdom is a dance-led, soul-shifting dance wellness experience that brings your body back into the conversation of life! You’ll dance, laugh, and reconnect with yourself unapoli-fkin-getically.
In this workshop, you’ll explore tools for self-regulation, mindset shifts, and embodied confidence THROUGH DANCE!
You’ll learn how to take up space and connect more deeply to your voice, boundaries, and inner rhythm.
This is for you if you’ve been craving:
Intentional movement that feels like self-liberation
A deeper way to connect to your body when dancing
A way to get more creative with movement.
You want to feel more grounded and free in your body with self-compassion, appreciation and self - love at the forefront.
What to Expect:
- Embodied dance session, underpined with somatic and embodiement practices focused on feeling, JOY & healing
- Soulful, feel-good movement 🍑 to get you OUT of your head and INTO your body!
- Mini reflection moments throughout
- Permission to move however the hell your body needs
- A lil break to hydrate and connect with other women
- Stretch flow session led by a Fascial Stretch Therapist - Tanya!
FAQS
❓Do I have to be a dancer?
Nope! If you’ve got a body and vibes, you’re more than qualified! The only pre-requisite for this space is that you show up with an open heart and commit to showing up for yourself!
❓How long is the workshop?
2 hours and 15 mins, with a short break to recharge and reset.
❓Is there an age restriction?
18+ is recommended. Up to any age, just drop me an email if you have any conditions or injuries I need to be aware of . We’re grown and grounded over here!
❓What do I need to bring?
A water bottle and journal & pen if you fancy! Wear comfy clothes that make you feel good, that you can move and stretch in and open heart to the experience and your whole beautiful self. Then you’re all set :)
❓Where is it again?
Kindred Yoga, Deptford - a private cutesy venue just for us. Intimate. Held. Safe.
❓Can I come late, I have things on before?
If you're going to be more than 20 minutes late, I'd say hang tight for the next event - I want you to get the most out of the event and every section is intentionally crafted to lead into another. So it would be best to be there for all of it.
❓What genres of music will be played?
You'll be going on a journey! R&B, Afro, Dancehall, Amapiano, House, Soca, 80's, 90's & Early 2000s!
This is a workshop that will change the way you think and feel about yourself, your body & dance. I can't wait to move with you!
