This is a 2 hour course for people working with children and young people in West Sussex.
This course is being delivered through a partnership between Coastal West Sussex Mind, Grassroots Suicide Prevention, YMCA Downslink Group, West Sussex County Council and West Sussex CCGs.
What will I learn?
If you have ever thought about any of these issues concerning a young person’s use of social media then this workshop is for you:
- Are they happy with their social media use?
- Do people say they spend too much time online?
- Do they find it hard to concentrate or get other things done because of social media?
- Are they getting enough sleep?
- Can they trust everyone in their networks to uphold their privacy? How will I learn?
This course is a 2 hour session. Accompanying the training is a short film made by young people.
Getting to the Venue
By Car Follow the brown signs to the Regis Centre. We are between Belmont Street and the Esplanade, There is a large car park next door.

Take a bus to Bognor Regis High Street. Walk east towards the main shopping parade (London Road) and turn right through the arcade. We are located at the end of the arcade (5 minutes walk).
By Train Take a train to Bognor Regis station. Leave the station by the main exit through the booking hall. Turn left to the main shopping precinct (London Road). Cross into the arcade. We are located at the end (10 minutes walk).
Timings and breaks
The course runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Tea and coffee with also be provided on arrival.
It is essential that you arrive on time and complete the course. If this is not possible please inform us by email before proceeding to book at training@coastalwestsussexmind.

Welcome to Coastal West Sussex Mind
We are an independent local mental health charity working in West Sussex.
We aim to promote good mental health through the provision of high quality services and through campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and understanding.
Our services support young people, adults, older adults, carers and families affected by mental health problems. We offer help and advice to people around improving their physical and mental well-being, strengthening their self-esteem and confidence, building strong relationships with family, friends and communities, getting into education, training and work and achieving their personal and social goals.
We also work actively in local communities to raise awareness about mental health and tackle the stigma and discrimination.
