The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) opens to voucher applications on 23 May 2022 and installers will be able to submit voucher applications and redeem approved vouchers from this date.

The BUS will provide upfront capital grants to support the installation of heat pumps and, in limited circumstances, biomass boilers.

Ofgem has been named by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as the administrator of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

• A question and answer session

The BEIS Minister for Business, Energy and Corporate Responsibility Lord Callanan will also be present to deliver a short speech announcing the launch of BUS.
