Bold L&D
Event Information
Description
Hello!
It’s us again, the L&D Connect community. We would love to invite all L&D, OD, and coaching professionals to the next event, called Bold L&D. We’re holding this on Tuesday 26th November from 0930-1630.
Do you want to be challenged in your thinking?
Do you want to meet other L&D professionals and have proper debate with them?
Do you want to hear about some of the latest thinking in the L&D space?
Do you need to take time to reflect on what you do and if it’s still fit for purpose?
Are you curious about new ways of doing things?
Are you befuddled by some new fangled terminologies like ‘MOOCs’, or ‘social learning’?
Do you believe in the power of letting people find their own solutions?
Are you an advocate of finding natural ways of making things happen without being lost in process?
If you’ve answered yes to even one of those questions, then you should be at this event.
Still need convincing? Have a listen to what Sukh Pabial has to say.
Bold L&D is about doing things in a way that change the game. Sometimes that might involve technology, sometimes it might involve a bit of dialogue, and sometimes it might involve not knowing the answer. When the L&D Connect community last came together, this was what we all agreed was the way forward.
The day will follow an unconference format which means there’s no real agenda as this is created on the day. We're going to be actively sharing stories about what has worked, what hasn't, and really working to make this concept of 'Bold' real and practical. As it’s not sponsored by any one company, and there are no exhibitors, there’s no one selling anything to you. There’s no case studies, just real life examples of things people are doing.
It’s all about the people attending and what they bring to the party. You decide which discussions you want to be involved in, you decide when it’s time to move on, and you decide if you want to discuss particular topics. If you think this format is something you’d enjoy, or are curious about, it’s quite likely you’ll enjoy the day.
In the past we’ve had internal practitioners, external practitioners, sole practitioners, vendors and suppliers. The best thing has been the discussion has always been about the profession and how we can help it move forward. This is the 4th event that the L&D Connect community has held since we started in early 2012.
We’ve changed the pricing for this event to reflect the evolution of the event. It’s £150 for 3 tickets. What we want is to open up the event to a bigger pool of people, and that will hopefully mean a greater diversity of discussion topics and insights to take away. How you choose to share your 3 tickets is up to you. Invite team members, invite people in your network, or invite other business leaders who have an interest.
It’s a whole day event, and you’ll be fed, watered, and lunched (and naturally there will be free WiFi). It’s going to be held at Rich Mix, which is a seriously cool venue in the heart of Shoreditch and Bethnal Green. There will be drinks at the end of the day for people to wind down from making your brains work so hard.
